 Sheelagh
is a partner at Burn and Company having joined them
in 1999, having specialised in the field of Family Law
throughout her career.
She now continues in this work with Burn and Company,
dealing with all aspects of marital dispute including
divorce, cohabitation problems, issues of finance, and
matters relating to children, both public and private
law.
Sheelagh is an accredited member of The Law Society
Children Panel, which means she is able to represent
children in public law care proceedings, which is a
particularly specialised area of family law. She is
also a member of the Association of Lawyers for Children
and Children Law UK.
Sheelagh is also a member of the local and national
family lawyers group Resolution, formerly known as the
Solicitor's Family Law Association, being a recognised
body of specialised family lawyers who adhere to an
agreed Code of Practice.
In addition Sheelagh is also a member of the Yorkshire
Law Society Council and is actively involved in the
Yorkshire Law Society Social Committee.
